Diabetes is remaining a challenge in reducing the instances of the disease as well as innovating methods of better treatment. Research is being done to transform stem cells into beta cells to aid in minimizing the effect of the disease. I need to stay abreast on the latest research in this disease because it is continuing to grow and there is a strong chance that I will encounter and work with a portion of the population that are living with diabetes.
